We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalistteam at IU Health University Hospital!
Position Details:
Full-time, Day Shift (7:00am - 6:00pm)
5 days on, 2 days off, followed by 7 days on, 7 days off
Every 3rd weekend and rotating holiday coverage
100% inpatient
Complex adult patient population
40-50 patient encounters per week
Team includes 16+ physicians and 9 APPs
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of care during daily rounds
Providing patient and family education
Assessing patients in the Emergency Department for admissions
Initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan
Perform medical consults for subspecialty services
Co-manage with multiple subspecialty services including; Urology, Nephrology, GI/ERCP, Hepatology, Hem/Oncology, etc.
Qualifications:
ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certifications required
If new graduate NP, RN inpatient PCU/critical care experience required
If new graduate PA, hospital medicine clinical rotation required
2 years of APP experience highly preferred
